Description: | A copper-alloy square coin weight probably for an Angel (11s) minted pre 1620, as it weighs 4.22g and an Angel was 4.61g and on the reverse a crown surmounts the value of the coin which is XIs or 11s. The front face shows an Angel spearing a dragon and has the letters IR BRI around the edge, the reverse has a crown surmounting XIs as mentioned above. There is also an offical counterstamp or verification mark on the reverse in the form of a fleur de lis.
