Description: | 14th Century gilded copper alloy composit strap-end. The plate is rectangular with lozenge positioned below which extends into a zoomorphic terminal, possibly a dogs head. The plate has a central rectangular design, with the letters 'IKC' in the centre with diagonal lines running behind the lettering to fill the rectangle. There is a wide plain border surrounding this design, with two rivets contained within it at the attachment end. The centre of the lozenge has an incised floral design. The reverse is plain, with a circular hole positioned in the center of the backplate of the lozenge. The strapend is 68mm long, with the rectangle 34mm long, 28mm wide.
