Description: | Medieval copper alloy buckle plate. The folded copper alloy sheet has a narrowed looped end to hold the strap bar of the buckle frame, with a central slot for the pin. The plate is recessed to accommodate the buckle frame. There is a worn break just after looped end on one sheet. There is a single central rivet hole at the centre of the plate. The surface is worn and it has an even mid-green patina.
