A medieval silver annular brooch, with engraved and punched decoration. The brooch has broken at the constriction for the pin, which is now missing, and the ends overlap.
Date: 13th or 14th century
Dimensions: Maximum diameter: 20mm
The find therefore qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content and should go forward to inquest.
