"Date: 13th or 14th century.
Circumstances of discovery: While searching with a metal-detector.
Description:
Silver-gilt pendant crucifix; the gilding is worn and survives in only a few patches. The suspension loop has been repaired. The right arm of the figure of Christ is cracked.
Dimensions:
Height: 44mm
Width: 24mm
The find therefore qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996 in terms of both age and precious metal content and should go forward to inquest.
