Description: | Silver-cased verge watch, the case hallmarked in London, 1814-15, with the maker's mark I.R. This possibly refers to John Robertson, who entered his work in 1802. The backplate is inscribed: "Chas. Wilson / 3436 / LONDON". A Charles Wilson of London was apprenticed 1811 and made free of the clockmaker's company 1824.
