Description: | Carved oak chest on a plainly moulded, waisted plinth raised on bun feet. The sides have fielded panels, the front a recessed panel within a plainly moulded frame, this panel carved with acanthus strapwork forming into roundels on either side of an oval cartouche carved with a reclining female figure holding a sheaf of corn, representing the classical goddess Ceres, or Abundance. Front corners are carved with attached Corinthian columns.
