Description: | This packet of Kleen-Stick Blackout adhesive tabs was issued during the Second World War. The tabs were used for sticking Blackout paper to windows. They were for householders to help them adapt their homes to comply with the enforced Blackout of buildings and streets during the Second World War.
The Blackout was intended to hinder enemy bomber planes from identifying targets. Strict enforcement of Blackout regulations by local air-raid wardens was unpopular with some sections of the public. | License: | http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/2.5/ | Publisher: | Museum of London | Rights holder: | Museum of London | Subjects: | London at War Home and Family | Temporal: | 1939-1945 | Source: | Museum of London | Identifier: | http://www.20thcenturylondon.org.uk/rser... | Go to resource |
