Description: | Copy of a part of a photograph showing some detail of several shops. Including "Hearts of Oak" run by Ewan Scarterfield (he also had an antiques business) ; "The Fountain "run by landlord John Corbyn ,then a house and next "Matson's" the fishmongers (with rabbits hanging in the window) , the next building behind the bike was "W.Fay" -painter & decorator's store (later this became the Pelham Bookshop then by 2003 it became a Baguette shop. The next building was Fays shop and that with the next building became "Bishop's " shoe shop. In the next row of cottages with bay windows, "Tinker" Powell lived . We then come to a large white house in which Dr Norman lived and his surgery was next door.
