Title: St Andrew's Church, Rockbourne, Hants: as restored [Go to resource]
Description: Originally a cruciform Early Norman church, enlarged in the thirteenth century when the south aisle (seen in the print) was added. It is built of flint, with a tiled roof. The timber, weather boarded bell-turret has the date 1613. The tower contains three bells and a 'ting-tang'. The church was restored in 1893 by C E Ponting, who was responsible for the ornate south porch. Ponting also built, in Hampshire, St Aldhelm, Sandleheath.
