Description: | The Old Vine was situated on the main Fareham to Wickham Road at Crocker Hill. It was once the scene of a murder in 1924 when the landlord, Arthur Gamblin who possessed a violent temper, shot his wife Sarah Jane, his son William, his daughter Sarah and then himself.
There have been two Old Vines on the site. The original Old Vine went back to the days of George 111. It stood to the left of the present building which later became Banbury's and is now Krakatoa.
