Title: Sussex Street, Winchester, early 20th century [Go to resource]
Description: This shows the terraced houses in Sussex Street, looking towards the bend in the road that leads to the Upper High Street. On the left can be seen the sign "Antiques" above an antique shop, one of several shops in the street. The houses on the left were demolished in the 1930s and the site stood empty until the 1950s when Hampshire County Council's offices at Ashburton Court were built.
