Description: This low fat Swedish style rye bread exploited a growing slimming and healthy eating craze in the late 1920s. In 1929 the company's Home Trade Manager was particularly concerned that the fruit trade's 'eat more fruit' campaign might damage demand for biscuits and the introduction of the rye bread reflects the desire to offer biscuits as a healthy option.
