Description: | The decorative art collections are representative of the wealth of the Borough industrialists and gentry and mainly date from the 18th and 19th century. There are items of glassware such as drinking glasses, decanters and bowls and also a group of ceramic items including Wedgwood, Myson and Staffordshire wares. The Furniture collection dates mainly from the 19th and 20th centuries with a few earlier examples such as a number of locally made longcase clocks.
