Description: | The photographic material includes a large collection of postcards collected by Margaret and Mabel Wooldridge, and mostly from c.1904-1939. The pictures, stamps, postmarks, handwriting and messages provide a valuable insight into life in the early 20th century and during wartime. Images include those of individuals, groups (e.g. members of Nantwich Urban District Council in 1910) and events such as a railway disaster at Shrewsbury in 1907 and a Royal Visit in 1926. There are also images of Nantwich streets, buildings and commercial premises. | Subjects: | Photographic equipment | Source: | Cornucopia - Discovering UK Collections | Address: | Pillory Street
