Description: | Over-sized reclining male nude figure Additional Information: Taken from leaflet, 'Powys Sculpture Trail in the Landscape of Writers': T. Harri Jones (1921-1965) was born at Cwm Crogau, Llanafan Fawr, near Builth Wells. He attended Builth Secondary School and won a scholarship to study English at University College Aberystwyth. He served in the Royal Navy during the war and emigrated to Australia in 1959 where he became Lecturer at the University of New South Wales. During the 1950's he contributed to both The Welsh Review and The Dublin Magazine and wrote 'The Beast at the Door' published in 1963. He was a great poet of love and of landscape particularly of the hills and valleys of his youth.
