Description: | Above main entrance at corner of building is a quadriga driven by a semi-naked female; below the dome are two standing female figures representing Winter (draped, Renfield Street) and Summer (semi-draped, Gordon Street). There are also four pairs of cherubs, at attic level, holding shields with animals emblematic of British colonies: India - elephant; Australia - Kangaroo; Africa - lion; Canada - bear.
