Description: | This work is certainly after the paintings of the French nineteenth-century landscape painter Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot, whose style was to have such a profound impact on the later generation of Impressionists. Corot was also known for his generosity in lending sketches and paintings to other artists, so it is unsurprising that his work has been much copied, and that attributions are sometimes confused. It has been suggested that this painting may be by, or in part by, a well known copier of Corot's later landscapes, Paul Desire Trouillebert. | Subjects: | landscape; figure; animal (cows) | Source: | Vads | Creator: | Artist: Corot, Jean-Baptiste-Camille (French painter and draftsman, 1796-1875) Æ After | Identifier: | http://www.vads.ac.uk/large.php?uid=8427... | Go to resource |
