Description: | Paddington Underground station entrance was protected from bomb blasts by a 'brick baffle wall'. The roof of the station canopy appears to have been replaced by a timber framework suspended from the canopy itself.
The baffle wall was painted in black and white stripes so that it could be seen more easily in Blackout conditions.
