Description: | Following the outbreak of the First World War, bus driver James (Jim) Woodards joined the Army Service Corps and was posted to France to drive troops to and from battle. This photographic postcard shows Woodards and a man in military uniform during the war.
On the back is a message written in English and French from Woodards to his Anglo-French wife Solange.
Woodards, who worked for the London General Omnibus Company, served in the 319th Motor Transport Company.
