Description: St Genevieve, wood, carved in very high relief. St Genevieve wears a contemporary costume, including a close fitting headdress. She stands on a beast with a knobbly spine. In her left hand is a book and in the right is a lantern. The beast (the devil?) holds up a pair of bellows, as if to blow out the light. | Format: | text/html | License: | http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/terms.htm | Publisher: | The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, UK | Rights holder: | The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, UK | Subjects: | sculpture Unknown relief | Temporal: | name=19th century; start=1800; end=1900 | Source: | Fitzwilliam Museum | Creator: | The Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge, UK | Identifier: | http://www.fitzmuseum.cam.ac.uk/opacdire... | Language: | en-GB | Format: | text/html | Go to resource |
