View of the vicarage to Manston St. James' Church, situated on Vicarage Road off Church Lane. In the picture are the vicar at the time, the Rev. Herbert Harry Malleson, along with his mother. Rev. Malleson was the incumbent from 1898 to 1915; during his time there a new, larger church was built to replace the 1847 one which had become too small for the growing population. The vicarage was also enlarged during this period, in about 1907; this photo dates from before the enlargement took place. | License: | http://www.leodis.net/article.aspx?id=12 | Rights holder: | Leeds Central Library | Subjects: | St. James' Church vicarage Vicarage Road Manston Church | Source: | Leodis - A photographic archive of Leeds | Identifier: | http://www.leodis.net/display.aspx?id=20... | Go to resource |
