Members of the football team of Garforth Parochial School are photographed with the Gascoigne Shield; this successful side also won the Barkston Ash Cup that season. Mr. Rayson, who was headmaster at the school between 1928 and 1947, is pictured second from left at the back. Other adults in the photo are Robert Scarlett, left, and Ernest Charlesworth, right.
