Description: | Tetsu, maru gata, kaku mimi tsuba. The omote has a takabori design in shakudo and copper of flowers and dragonflies, tonbo. The sound a dragonfly makes when flying is described in Japanese as, Kachi, kachi. In Japanese, kachi means to win, so this design is ideal for a samurai. The ura has reeds and the moon appearing as if in clouds. The hira of both the omote and ura has tsuchime marks over a chirimen ground 3. The nakago ana has sekigane in copper and tagane ato.
