Description: | Conveyance dated 26th April 1861, between:
1. Elizabeth Jones of Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Widow.
2. Thomas Cartwright of Bridgnorth, Salop, Toll Lessee; and Hannah his wife.
3. John Jones of Wolverhampton, Publican.
4. Harry Caswell of Wolverhampton, Pawnbroker; and Rebecca his wife.
5. Thomas Jones of Wolverhampton, Blacksmith and Wheelwright.
6. John Hayward of Wolverhampton, Blacksmith.
7. George Jones Barker and Thomas Barker of the Chillington Iron Works, Wolverhampton, Ironmasters and Co-Partners.
Consideration: 2,000 paid by #7 to #1-6. #1-6 granted and conveyed to #7, several messuages, buildings, lands and hereditaments including: a plot of land, previously garden ground, on the left side of the turnpike road from Wolverhampton to Willenhall; a small plot of land on the left side of the same road, with a messuage erected on it; a small plot of land on the left side of the same road with two cottages thereon; a plot of land near to the road leading to the Chillington Colliery with nine messuages thereon; and a piece of garden land near to the Willenhall Road, with a dwelling house thereon. Includes a detailed plan of the land.
Attached is a Certificate of Acknowledgement of Deeds by Married Women, relating to Hannah Cartwright, wife of Thomas Cartwright, and Rebecca Caswell, wife of Henry Caswell, who both acknowledged deeds to belong to them.
