Description: | Surrender, at the Court Baron of the Right Honourable Granville Leveson, Earl Gower, and Thomas Giffard Esq., Lords of the Manor of Stowheath, held at Wolverhampton on 1st September 1767. Present: Francis Holyoake, Gentleman, Steward; William Kempson, John Snow, and Michael Humpage, customary tenants of the manor.
Thomas Tomkys of Bilston, Gentleman, came to the court and surrendered into the hands of the Lords, a messuage with stable, outbuildings and appurtenances, called 'Moseley Hole Farm House'; a close called The Croft; and land formerly called Perrys Leasow and now called Hawkes Piece, all in Bilston, within the Manor of Stowheath.
To the court came Rachael Tomkys of the City of Oxford, Widow and Relict of Hope Tomkys, deceased, brother of Thomas Tomkys, and desired to be admitted tenant to the land and property for her lifetime, and after her decease, to the use of Thomas Tomkys.
