Description: | Surrender, at the Court Baron of the Right Honourable Granville Leveson, Earl Gower, and Thomas Giffard Esq., Lords of the Manor of Stowheath. Held at Wolverhampton, 2nd January 1771. Present: John Snow, William Kempson and Joshua Devey, customary tenants of the manor.
Thomas Tomkys of Bilston, Staffordshire, Esq., came to Court and surrendered into the hands of the Lords, his holdings, forming part of the Moseley Hole Estate. Refers to an earlier surrender of the same land by Brooke Crutchley, Catherine his wife, and Jane Robbins, to Thomas Tomkys, on 4th January 1763. Joseph Lane came to the court and desired to be admitted tenant to the land.
