Description: | Surrender, at the Court Baron of the Right Honourable Granville Leveson, Earl Gower, and Thomas Giffard Esq., Lords of the Manor of Stowheath. Held at Wolverhampton, 27th June 1775. Present: Francis Holyoake, Gentleman, Steward; William Kempson, Joshua Devey and John Williams, customary tenants of the manor.
Joseph Lane of Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Ironmonger, and Mary his wife, came to Court and surrendered into the hands of the Lords, one undivided moiety or half share in the Moseley Hole Estate. Refers to an earlier surrender of the same land by Brooke Crutchley, Catherine his wife, and Jane Robbins, to Thomas Tomkys, on 4th January 1763.
