Description: | Surrender at the Court Baron of the Manor of Sedgley, at the customary court of the Right Honourable John William, Earl of Dudley, of Dudley Castle, Staffordshire, held at the dwelling house of Julia Every, Widow, the Court House in Sedgley, within the manor, on Tuesday 11th August 1829. Present: James Bourne, Gentleman, Steward; John Newton and William Darvey, Customary Tenants; and David Caddick, 'Deputy Biddle there for this term only'. To the court came John Preston of Sedgley and surrendered into the hands of the Lord a piece of land in Sedgley Manor, formerly enclosed out of Ettingshall Nether Field. Joseph Fletcher of Sedgley, Carpenter, came to court and desired to be admitted tenant to the land.
