1. James Gibbons of Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Key Maker.
2. Thomas Pearson of Tettenhall, Staffordshire, Esq.
Principal sum: 275 lent by #2 to #1 with interest at the rate of 4-10s per 100. Term of mortgage: 500 years. Refers to a messuage with brewhouse and yard on the north side of Bilston Street, Wolverhampton; 3 shops in the yard; the pig-sty and 'necessary house' adjoining the yard; a barn, stable and two cow-houses at the bottom of the yard; two gardens adjoining the barn and cow-houses.
Attached is the Bond of James Gibbons to Thomas Pearson for the total sum of 550, dated 25th March 1790.
Also attached is a Civil Action to recover the possession of land, issued from the Court of George III to the Sheriff of Staffordshire, dated 12th June 1799. It appears to be a fictitious suit by the plaintiff 'John Doe' against the defendant 'Richard Roe', who had allegedly evicted John Doe from 'ten messuages, one shop, one barn, one stable, one cow-house and one acre of land in Wolverhampton'.
