Description: | Sculpture
The principal permanent display of sculpture is to be found in the Sculpture Courtyard, located between the Art Gallery and the University Library, most notably Paolozzi's Rio (1966).
Present permanent displays in the gallery include 4 from a large collection of portrait busts (including Gavin Hamilton by Christopher Hewetson), and a bronze St George by Rodin.
The art gallery building (1980) incorporates aluminium doors designed in homage to C.R.Mackintosh by Eduardo Paolozzi (1924-2005), by whom the gallery holds a collection of sculpture from his Lost Magic Kingdoms exhibition (1986) not currently on display. | Subjects: | sculpture | Source: | Hunterian Museum | Address: | University of Glasgow,
