Description: | 250 32 (printed on two small round paper labels glued to the envelope). 2 X f3 (written in back on the base of the envelope) MANU Unsigned. circa 1895 DES after SWAN,Joseph,Wilson,Sir. 1878 Newcastle-Upon-Tyne England DES after EDISON,Thomas,Alva. 1879 Menlo Park, New Jersey United States of America This is a 50 volt 32 candle power lamp with a standard ES Edison screw cap type No E27/25 and a clear pear shaped envelope. The single square section appears to be a squirted filament, in the form of a single loop which is attatched to the platinum lead in wires by the deposited carbon method via nickel supports with twisted ends. The lead in wires pass directly through the base of the envelope and there is no cane or stem..
