Description: | DES MACKINTOSH, Charles Rennie; (Scottish; 1868-1928) This utilitarian item is made from lead. Its construction is plain and apparent. Mackintosh used lead over a wooden frame several times in 1900, for example the fender at 120 Mains Street the Luncheon Room fireplace at Miss Cranston's Ingram Street tea rooms.
