Description: | 30.4 x 38.1 s. b. r. "W McTaggart" CRE McTAGGART, William; (Scottish; 1835-1910) Port Righ Bay, in Carradale, Mull of Kyntire, opens onto Kilbrannan Sound, and the isle of Arran beyond.
William McTaggart, who was born nearby, spent many summer holidays in that area with his family. At least four versions of Port-An-Righ are known, including a watercolour, the Hunterian oil study, and two larger oil paintings, 'Port-an-Righ' dated 1883 and 'Good Luck!
