MacTaggart / 1895" CRE McTAGGART, William; (Scottish; 1835-1910) LABEL: Rosslyn Castle, eight miles south of Edinburgh, high above the river Esk, was a favourite subject for artists, offering magnificent scenery, a waterfall, and the ruined castle. McTaggart worked on this composition in his Midlothian studio.
