CRE SANDBY, Paul; (English; 1725-1809) PUB Boydell, John; (English; 1719-1804) This is plate 1 from the set of four large views of Warwick Castle dedicated to George Greville, 2nd Earl of Warwick. According to Bruce Robertson, George Greville and his brother Charles were pupils of Sandby, and it was Charles that communicated to him the secret of aquatint.
