Description: | The university's medical collections are a core resource in medical and health teaching. The collection includes a series of radiographs taken by Eric Naylor and Alexander Cain. This collection compliments the other university's collections such as zoology and external collections such as the Medico-Chirurgical Society. The radiographs chart the teaching of medicine and show the important contributions of staff in this field. These images were included in Professor Robert Lockhart's influential textbook 'Anatomy of the Human Body' published in 1959. Access to, and display of, parts of the collection is restricted by the Anatomy Act (1984) as amended by the Human Tissue (Scotland) Act 2006.
