Aberdeen, Scotland - Sir George Reid (1841- 1913) was a Scottish portrait painter and illustrator. He studied in Edinburgh, Utrecht and Paris. He exhibited at the Royal Academy from 1877. He soon established himself as Scotland's leading portrait painter.
