"Watt (1862-1940) was an enamelist and silversmith based in Aberdeen. Sutherland (1883-1974) was from Wick and mainly landscape painter though he did produce a small number of portraits and figure subjects. Trained under Charles Mackie at the RSA and in Paris. Head of Gray's School of Art 1933-48. Became a trustee of Aberdeen Art gallery and received an honorary LLD from Aberdeen University."
