Description: | Indian sword (talwar) with curved, single-edged blade and Jaipur enamelled hilt.
Blade: thin with a narrow back, long for the size of the hilt.
Hilt: silver, cast in one piece, champleve Jaipur enamelled floral and bird designs in green. Pommel and quillons of mythical monster heads enamelled in green. Three birds enamelled on the cross-guard and grip.
Scabbard of wood covered with gilded leather pressed on a string-made decorative pattern and painted black to highlight the relief design. Two highly decorated and enamelled lockets and a chape en suite with the hilt, the upper locket damaged.
