Description: | Kilij with highly curved blade of watered steel with a flat back and (loose) silver cross-guard now heavily tarnished, the centre of both sides of the cross-guard engraved with a star. Grip of rhino horn scales with bulbous forward-turned pommel. Three small rivets on both sides of the hilt with convex eyelets for the sword knot in the centre of the pommel. The flat tang covered with a strip with five narrow grooves. Scabbard of wood covered with plain silver sheet, heavily tarnished. Three lockets can be seen on the scabbard, one is an original and the other top two were covered with copper lockets and two mounts, and the middle mount is missing with only a remain of its location. The scabbard has a slot 1 cm wide and 20 cm long cutting the upper locket for the insertion of the sword into the scabbard.
