Description: | Dagger (pesh kabz) with sheath. Steel with handle damascened with gold (kuftwork). The sheath is covered in red velvet, and has steel mounts also damascened with gold. Decorated with floral motif. The blade is grooved on either side.
Kuftwork: The decoration of iron and steel by hammering gold or silver into engraved lines, or gold and silver wires across a hatched surface ("The Arts of the Sikh Kingdom", p. 247.)
