Description: | Originally outside the Granada Cinema in Windsor Road, Slough, the Pavement of the Stars consisted of concrete slabs with the hand prints, footprints and autographs of cinema stars. The slabs were transferred to Wexham Nursery at some point following the cinema's closure and demolition in 1988. Regrettably, some are now indecipherable due to weathering.
Leslie Banks was a well known film and theatre actor of the 1930s and 1940s. His films included 'Went The Day Well' and 'Cottage To Let' which now feature regularly on television. The slab bears the date July 29 193?. Among other stars commemorated were Moore Marriott, Sally Gray, Graham Moffatt and Valerie Hobson.
