The remains of a moated site survive as earthworks at Poolham, which may be the only surviving remains of the medieval settlement of Poolham, originally in Edlington parish. The moat is still visible as a shallow earthwork, although it was noted in 1963 that it was slowly being filled in the 1960s. It is also said that the eighteenth century Poolham Hall was bulldozed into the moat in 1971. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5} | Subjects: | General Archaeology | Temporal: | 1066 - 1539 | Source: | Lincolnshire County Council | Identifier: | http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/Re... | Go to resource |
