Description: | PRN 43572
Probably one of the best surviving deserted medieval villages in Linconshire. A typical village site with a series of deeply sunken roads with rectangular platforms on either side. The best part of the site is south-east of the house although there are also less well-defined earthworks to the north. The Ordnance Survey has surveyed the site. The Domesday population was 16. Twenty-eight people paid poll tax in 1377. There was no population in 1565. {1}{2}{3}{4}{5}
