Description: Dated 1850-51, grey stone cottages. (1) Almshouses founded by Sir Edmund Turnor in 1677, to house six poor people who in 1905 each received 1/- weekly and coals. Rebuilt in 1850-51. The 1881 census give a Mary Mugridge, aged 52, as a resident. She was deaf from birth and was a dressmaker. Still in use as an almshouse.
