Description: | PRN 43171
This cropmark has been interpreted as probably a neolithic long barrow. {1}
This long barrow is situated on a slope position, at the tip of a ridge overlooking Calceby Beck to the north, with the long axis running parallel to the contours, and aligned south-east to north-west. It is a trapezoidal enclosure, with the south-east end open. The side ditches show as wider marks than the terminal ditch; recorded as soilmarks. A ring ditch shows 60m to the north-east. {2} | Subjects: | General Archaeology | Temporal: | 4000BC - 2351BC | Source: | Lincolnshire County Council | Identifier: | http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/Re... | Go to resource |
