Description: | PRN 23684
During trial trenching, a Romano-British pit and a natural depression containing finds dating from the 1st to the 2nd century were recorded. Fragments of daub may indicate that a structure once stood in the vicinity.{1}{2}
A watching brief recorded a north/south aligned ditch terminal containing 1st-2nd century pottery and animal bone, and an undated, but stratigraphically Roman, north-east/south-west aligned ditch. The site is thought to be a small farmstead.{3}{4} | Subjects: | General Archaeology | Temporal: | 43 - 199 | Source: | Lincolnshire County Council | Identifier: | http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/Re... | Go to resource |
