During a watching brief in 2001centred on TF4996 6478, two parallel east/west aligned ditches and a north/south aligned hollow were recorded. The southernmost of the ditches had been mapped by a previous geophysical survey and previous investigations to the east suggest a Romano-British date for this feature.{1}{2}
During a watching brief in 2002 centred on TF4998 6472, an undated north-east/south-west track was recorded. Although undated, the track was in use within living memory, and once connected Barnack Hall to Hall Lane.{3}{4}
During a watching brief in 2001 centred on TF5000 6475, three undated features were recorded, two of which were aligned north/south while the third was aligned north-west/south-east. These features were thought to be pits as they were not encountered during the watching brief on the plot directly to the south.{5}{6} | Subjects: | General Archaeology | Source: | Lincolnshire County Council | Identifier: | http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/Re... | Go to resource |
