A scatter of late Iron Age and Roman pottery was found to the south west of Neslam Bridge during the Fenland Survey. More than 200 sherds of pottery were recovered in a single visit, which included grey ware, shell-gritted ware, Samian, mortaria, colour-coated ware and white ware. The finds also included a sherd of Iron Age pottery. This site probably represents a late Iron Age to Romano-British farmstead. {1} | Subjects: | General Archaeology | Temporal: | 100BC - 409BC | Source: | Lincolnshire County Council | Identifier: | http://www.lincstothepast.com/Records/Re... | Go to resource |
